Nanchong Shouchuang Technology Pet Food Drying Machine is a large-scale mechanical equipment that uses hot air to accelerate dehydration efficiency. Commonly used in large food processing plants and other food processing enterprises.
A hot air dryer uses flowing hot air as a medium to transfer heat to the material and remove the evaporated moisture from the material, thereby achieving the purpose of drying.
The drying process of materials is usually divided into three distinct stages:
Preheating stage (preheating period):
As soon as the wet material enters the dryer, it absorbs the heat of the hot air and its temperature rapidly rises to the wet bulb temperature (temperature under evaporative cooling effect). At this point, the water begins to evaporate, but the drying rate increases rapidly.
Constant speed drying stage (golden age):
The surface of the material is filled with free moisture, like a droplet of water. The heat transferred by the hot air is completely used to evaporate the surface moisture, achieving the maximum drying rate and maintaining stability.
At this stage, free water on the surface of the material is removed, and the evaporation rate mainly depends on external conditions (hot air temperature, humidity, wind speed), and is not related to the material itself.
Slow drying stage (critical period):
After the surface free water is evaporated, the moisture inside the material needs to migrate to the surface in order to continue evaporating. The migration speed (internal diffusion) is slower than the surface evaporation speed.
The drying rate begins to decrease, and the material temperature begins to rise, approaching the dry bulb temperature of hot air.
At this stage, the bound water and capillary water inside the material are removed, and the drying rate is determined by the properties of the material itself, such as structure, thickness, and composition. Improper control can easily cause thermal damage.
